I’m a firm believer in finishing a book once I’ve started. That being said, this one came INCREDIBLY close to being a DNF for me.

I had been wanting to read a vampire romance as I haven’t read one in a HOT minute. Tethered was one of the books I got for Stuff Your Kindle Day and I got excited because it was exactly what I was looking for. Except… it wasn’t.

Character inconsistencies, plot holes galore, slow plot progression, and the same things happening over and over. This was so hard to get through for me. I’ve seen people 5-star this one and I truly cannot understand. I really did like Bastian, though, so I’m giving it a 2.5. Bastian gets a whole cat and a half. But DEAR SWEET LORD, I was so tired of hearing:

“Isvana help me.”
“My husband…”
And seeing phrases used twice in the same paragraph.
